K-CreQ Prize Introduce

Background
Curiosity and inquiry are the unique characteristics of human compared to the machine in the digital era. In today’s information-overflowing society, insights from good questions are more important than memorizing answers/knowledge.

Curiosity and inquiry are one of the most crucial abilities, especially for people in science and technology. They should be able to develop them from an early age.

Appropriate system and programs are necessary for children and students who are interested in science to encourage to ask questions and to continue their curiosity.

Therefore, we created a Question award for Korean students in Singapore under the motto “Good Questions Change the World”.

Objective
The K-CreQ Prize, co-hosted by the Korean Scientists and Engineers Association in Singapore (KSEASG), the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies (KOFST), and the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (KOCHAM) is designed to encourage from children to teenagers, to college students, to graduate students who are interested in science, to continue their curiosity about science and to develop their ability to ask questions.

The aim of this award is to encourage students to develop their ability to ask questions, to promote mutual interactions between the Korean community in Singapore, and to foster the next generation of growing talent.
